These are pictures of Dale Snokes' strut bar support that he makes and that I installed on my 66 Nova. What a difference that it made tying in the whole front end. When I use to hit a bump it would rattle the whole car but, now it drives like a new car. It has tightened up the front end and the car handles really well. Thanks Dale Snokes what a great product. I would highly recommend.

Tony-

I'm glad that the install was a success on your car with your shock arrangement! So far to date, the bar has fit a vast array of set-ups in the first and second generation Novas. And yet another milestone witnessed at a get-together today. Site member Barry Dooley re-installed his unit, AND it fit, onto a BLOWN smallblock!!!

ooops Sorry Brian:yes: I saw your thread on your swap you didn't have any issues with clearance on the hood? I was going to go that route but it looked like it would not fit.
Shock tower brace is a perfect fit, we were going to use truck accesories but the alternator would have been in the way, I located a LS1 with the f-body accessories and it looks like it was made for it:yes::yes:

Its great to hear that everyone so far really likes the performance and fit of my bars! And also great to hear they are getting onto LS based Novas!!! The only car that I had one NOT fit was Gerie's LaCarrara Nova, with its funky intake system.. Wished he lived closer, I'd love to make one up to fit his application!! But, thanks again to all who run them!!!!

What an ingenious idea Dale. I saw one of these on a 2nd gen nova years ago while at a car show in Myrtle Beach but I never could figure out who made it. Perhaps it was someone's personal fabricated piece. Anyways, never understood why nobody was designing one of these as to me it is a simple yet drastic improvement to the stability of these <gasps> horribly designed front ends.

Its had positive response across the board. The bar proves to be a great compliment to the early Nova.I'm trying to see if one of the Chevy magazines can do a back to back slalom course run with it off, then quickly re-installed (remember, once you have the main components on, it takes but a few moments to remove the brace!) to see if it makes any improvement with a consistant car. We should have done it last year, and the year before at the Suspension Challenge, but you are not allowed to install, nor remove any components..

Would you need one car or would getting a couple together to compare / gather various data sets and see if a consistent trend develops... too bad someone does not have a large P-lot that you could set-up a course and .....
