I was wondering if running open headers with a straight pipe (2 1/2") dumped out the back would quiet it down enough not to get pulled over?

It won't be too loud at idle but as soon as you open it up be prepared to pull to the right shoulder! Just throw some flows on it and have a good sound and be legal!

i started mine in the garage it knocked pics off wall to loud to run put glass packs on still too loud

My friend had a 49 ford pickup with a 327 in it and thought it would be cool to fab up some custom straight pipes. It was loud a hell but had absolutely no power when you wound it up. He ended up throwing a set of Turbo mufflers on it and it was night and day. The truck actually moved pretty decent then.

if u have really really ***** officers"no offence" if dual exhaust on each side run 2 mufflers per side or get 2 STOCK mufflers u know the kind that restric flow horribly but make it quiet
