Rialto, California

Edited: looking for the valve, any condition.

Hey SNS, anyone with some stock non-assist steering parts kicking around? I'm on a very tight (almost nonexistent) budget but at the same time I daily drive my '64 Wagon. I pulled all the assist stuff off cause I was tired of it all leaking and now the car kinda wonders and drives funny :(

Let me know, not looking for new, just maybe whatever is needed for the switch to full manual

Thanks ya'll

pitman arm and center link rod are different for manual steering..... idler arm bracket is also different. But I thinjk the power one might be ok with the manual parts

I know you're on a tight budget. But it's well worth the investment to put the CPP lowers and the ball bearing conversion on at this point. The performance and driveability alone are worth it and not to mention the alignment will stay put. Another option would be the eccentric lock out kit and upper arm shim conversion. Global west also makes a lot of Nova suspension parts too and they're very close to you as well. You can send me a PM I'm in So Cal as well. In fact I just pulled a whole recently rebuilt 65 nova clip off and couldn't even give away the parts!

Actually, I want to experiment with a power steering valve, the valve thingy attached to the pitman arm that always leaks. Anyone like to donate one? I want to see if I can take out the slop and run it. How nice if that could be done, going to manual without replacing all the other linkages. My car drives so good on the freeway, it all feels dialed in, except that valve. :(

Bumping

So I have made the assist linkage work for the past 6 months. It's perfect cause it was free :D

Now I'm having issues with header clearance. I lopped off the ram/idler mount and clearance some of the draglink. No passenger header denting 👍

Driver side will not be so lucky. I have already air hammer massaged the header to clearance around the box but the pitman is crashing heavily into that header. I'm hoping the manual pitman drops lower or something. I'm also not sure the assist valve will clear my oil pan. Looks tight but first problem is the pitman.

Anyway, bumping to find a complete manual linkage, idler to pitman, for my budget daily. Thanks ya'll.
