Hello. I'm going to build my '64 Moredoor as a sleeper. It will have a new front clip with 11" baer brakes. I'm wondering if anyone makes a stock looking steel rim that I can put on the car? I don't plan on putting much of the trim back on her when I'm done and I'd like it to look as inconspicuous as possible. Thanks.

Stockton Wheel will pretty much make whatever you want. Here's the rub, though. The wheel will be great, but necessarily a larger size to accommodate the brakes and new suspension. Stockton wheel can make just about any size steel wheel and offset, and even have you run an original hubcap if you want, but it will obviously look larger and different from a 13 or 14 inch Chevy II wheel.

those definitely have a stock look to them. What size are they? Size tire you are running on them? Did you have to have those custom made?

the 66 i had back in 70-72 i had those stock looking black wheels with dog dish chevy caps. you could go to the auto parts store an buy the dog dish caps for a few dollars apiece. i even had an earl schibb paint job on it. but it looked good. some younger kid bought that nova from me for 750.00 bucks when i got drafted.

The wheels pictured above are stock GM wheels that were pulled from a 77 Caprice with 5 on 4.75” bolt circle. They are 15x7 4.25”backspace. The tires are 205/60/15 up front and 225/60/15 rear. My car is lowered about 2” all around. The rear tires rubbed out back mostly when cornering or articulating the rear axle more backspace would be better or smaller tires but that’s not in me.. lol.. 4.75” of backspacing would make enough space to run this rear tire and probably more if you wanted to.

And, yes a dog dish cap would work on these wheels.. I could never make myself put them on.

I recently had some 15x8 rally wheels made for this car and they are installed on the rear now. The bs is 5.25” and the tire size is 225/50/15. A 60 series would work but this is what I have on it for now. I may have another set of wheels made to run a taller 60 series tire as an alternate.
