stock 5.3 LS lifter question

I just upgraded my cam, springs and pushrods on my 5.3. Last week I got everything back together and I noticed the engine was a little noisier. I finally got some time tonight to take it back apart to look at it. I noticed that I was able to collapse this lifter by hand. Is 6 days enough time for the oil to drain from the lifter? This is the only one like this, the others are very firm and I cannot collapse them.

I use the EOIC method. I tightened the rocker to zero lash, torqued to 22 ft/lb, and still have some play.
If someone knows how to embed these please do so.

It's been a while since I did mine but I believe none on my would compress by hand even after sitting for a while. I'm assuming these were new lifters with the new cam. You could just replace that one while you have it apart. Not sure what the 22 ft/lbs is. Normal procedure is adjust to zero lash and then 1/4 to 1/2 turn of pre-load.

I adjust them with the engine running at idle, tighten or loosen to the point of no clatter and tighten one full turn. Good to use clips on the rockers to keep the oil splatter down.

Oh sorry. It’s s 5.3 LS Engine. The rockers need to be torqued to 22 ft/lb.

Figured something was up with the 22 ft/lbs. Still seems the hydraulics, when they pump up, don't seem to collapse on me. I had some valve train noise coming from my truck motor (roller cam). Popped the VC off and one of the "lash adjusters" as they call them, same thing as a lifter, was compressing by hand. I replaced that one and it seemed to quite down. I ordered the lash adjuster online plus who knows how long it sat in a warehouse and it was still solid when I received it. Had to compress it with a vise. I'm still old school haven't taken the LS plunge yet. Maybe someone more familiar with those will chime in though.
