I built mine as a peppy daily driver. 350, 2004r auto. among other things but here's the issue.
With the gear selector on the column. I want to leave it there. the detents are wrong for the 2004R. It works but it's tricky.
does any one know if there is a sector at the bottom of the stock column that I can replace with a later one set up for the 2004R?
I'd rather leave the stock column it's simple just what I want
A good pic of the column would be a great help if there is one around.

it is inside the upper "cup". you need to completely take the coluum apart. look in the service manual,or do what I do,get another and take it apart.

does anyone have a service manual; that will the exploded view of the steering column?
I want to pull it apart and change the shift selector segment in the upper collar.
