How is steel fuel line measured? Say you buy some 3/8 line, is it 3/8 on the (OD)-outside diameter or (ID)-inside diameter? Thanks.

Hardline tubing is measured OD.

if you have a piece of 3/4" pipe that is sch 40 and a 3/4" piece that is sch 80 is the I.D the same? nope! if you buy 3/8 fuel line you get 3/8 I.D not O.D

But it is clearly stated that the 3/8 measurement is the outside diameter so the inside diameter is smaller then 3/8.

I just installed the Moroso 3/8 aluminum fuel line and its nice to work with. Kinking is not a problem.

I got some summit brand 3/8 alum fuel line from summit and that stuff is great.I would get it.
