One more thing to look at is the two connectors at the firewall in the engine compartment, I had a problem on my 66 long ago because the connections were corroded and when the load of the starter solenoid was on the connection, it failed. Look for corrosion or burned contacts.

Revisited the red wire connections at the horn relay and replaced the connector there and the butt splice at the battery. Cleaned an scuffed the pin connectors at the firewall and verified the neutral safety switch was doing it's job. Finally got the car to start. I need to do a slight adjustment on the neutral safety switch and I should be finished. I don't ever want to do this again. It was just an accumulation of problems.
