Curious what that front end weighted?

I used the heidts front cross-member from from a cougar, mustang 2 rack, spindles and the upper and lower a-arms and made the rest of the frame/rails custom. Stupid light and the clearance is crazy. Very simple as well with adjustable coilovers and mounts.

Very nice! I'm going to have my car at my garage in the next few weeks (currently at buddies show where it's being built) so I plan on getting a weight on it before I add motor, trans, etc so I have a baseline. Shooting for 2800 or lighter with driver.

another angle
Your front frame rails look like that have a little bit wider spread then factory. Do you know what the dimensions between the front wheel mounting surfaces are? Your front wheels look like they are also farther apart then my TCI Mustang II clip.

I would have to get a tape measure on it, not sure off the top of my head. I assume you mean inside to inside on the front frame rail (sub frame width)? I want to say somewhere around 35-36" as a guess. Pic below with a 454 block mounted and there is roughly 3" to either side. BBC block is ~28" wide

Aside from the subframe, a-arms and rack/steering parts, the whole front end was custom built and offers ALMOST as much clearance as a strut front which was the goal.

new springs again

Last change - GMPP 454 425hp Edelbeock victor ram with Holley 660 center carbs
soooo once I bolted up the passenger side fenderwell header it was very close to the tire , so instead of doing spring spacers I went with new coil springs again. this time I took a shot at mustang II springs for a factory v8 car . they worked perfect and were only $60 from summit IMG_E1105 (1).jpg

Realize those springs are going to settle.<img src="http://www.stevesnovasite.com/images/yes.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Yes" class="inlineimg" />
. Yes but I have way more room than the last springs and I also added a TALL solid motor mount on that side so I will keep everyone posted on how it works

Nice work! I love this build! Which 30" column did you go with? and what rag joint(not sure the name) and extension piece? I can't seem to find any info on this part of my build.
