part # 91034439 first off I started cutting my shock towers to get my big block chevy into my 1963 chevy II drag car . CHECK OUT THAT POST HERE https://www.stevesnovasite.com/forums/showthread.php?p=5789803&posted=1#post5789803 after wasting a lot of time and money I got this front end from speedway motors. its pretty much the same as Heidts CX-320-X front end frame but cheaper. I did not buy the complete kit because I am changing the front springs and shocks and also using my current brake setup. so here is day 1 - ******FYI. —— CPP full front frame kit part # (Part# E6267M2-X) is on eBay for $500 with free shipping .... I paid $699 plus $250 shipping. Just saying shop around and you can save ALOT of $$$$ I am still very happy with my choice and have zero regrets.. the CPP front is narrowed for larger front tires IMG_2063.jpg

1963 nova speedway mustang II install

so going big block you cannot use the stock throttle assembly and you have to go cable . so I got the LOKAR BAG-6127 throttle direct fit. note to others, I was in such a rush to put the BBC in that I noticed I should of put this on first now that I cant reach the bolts...lol IMG_2142.jpg

more progress

So I bolted the front end on today and I must say it went pretty smooth. I hit it with hammered red paint before the install for a little more protection.
here is what I encounted :

1- cut the steering shaft before the install, I need about 2'' of shaft for the column saver.

2- all frame holes lined up perfect BUT the bottom frame holes were to small for the 7/16 bolts so a minor drilling is needed.

3- upper frame to cowl bars NEED to re-use the factory shims that fell out and hit me on the head during removel of the stock fenderwells and use the plates provided with the kit

4- my deep knotched deep pan fit fine no reason to change

5- I used short moroso solid motor mounts , tried the tall ones but one side didn't line up good

6- I forgot to bolt on the gas pedal again ;(

7- new upper firewall bars have 5 hole but I just used the 3 factory ones, I plan on attaching the bars to my roll cage

8- did you notice I painted the firewall and inside of the fenders black? figured it would show off the front end

shock setup

So I was going to use a moroso trick coil spring and a 90/10 drag shock but looking on the web I did not see anyone using that setup. since I am going to be mostly drag racing I am going with the QA1 For its adjustability and it says its a drag race coilover shock I am also starting out with the 600lb spring part #QA1 MR301-08600 R Series Mustang II Drag Race Coil-Over System 721MR30108600_L_3ec97af0-1104-48a5-8c82-18151ad3d396.jpg

speedway part # 91031943 Mustang II Complete 11 In Front Disc Brake Kit, 5 x 4-3/4 GM

sooo I got the speedway brake kit for my new speedway spindles - Speedway Mustang II Stock-Height Steel Spindles
Part # 91034307 - the kit comes with everything you need including the lines . it went on OK , on one side the bearings didn't fit the spindle so I just had to hit it with a file and it fit fine.

read the directions !!!! you have to change the rotor bearing races , they are included , the GM ones are to small by a lot .

sooo you don't need the whole kit , my spindles w/ the new races , and my old calipers were re-used and fit fine.

all you need is the caliper brackets part # 91631913 they are about $90 but here is the kicker - speedway wont sell you just the brackets !! even though they have a part # and a price you cant buy them

its still a good kit and worth the money

and I STILL forgot to put the gas pedal assembly on (

here is a list of what comes in the kit with part #'s IMG_0452.jpg
