With all the fires burning around the Province, one should appreciate the need for rain ! I understand they are calling for light rain on Thursday and Friday and Sunday. Maybe we can sneak into Sechelt for the Sleepy Hollow Show and Shine on Saturday and enjoy the show.. as they always put on a good one !
I look forward to meeting some of the other members on this site that are attending .. see you there ! Then ...let 'er rain all week long !

I'm hopin' for no rain. Six of us are going over Fri. noon and coming back Sat. afternoon. The 12 of us (girls are coming too) have reservations and will go over regardless. The cars won't go if it's raining though. We're all too lazy to clean the cars to that extent before Winter. lol.

Great Weekend in Sechelt !

Well yesterday we enjoyed the Sleepy Hollow Rod Run ...30 klms of enjoyment to Halfmoon Bay from Hacket Park in Sechelt .. a few burnouts couldn't be helped .. by those that can lay down the black! All in all it was a great weekend , 368 cars registered . The Coaster's Car Club buts a ton of effort into this show .. a good showing of 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation cars ..Nice to meet Stroker and a couple of other Steve members at this show. I know you all prefer pictures versus verbage ..so I will post the photos in the next couple of days. Oh did I mention they gave me a trophy for 1st place in Stock Car/Truck Class 1968-1972 ..wow ..that was quite the surprize !

Well deserved Ken. You have a great car with great history. My buddy with the black '55 pickup won as well. We left after the 50-50 draw. Great run Fri. night. It blew me away to see the crowds sitting along the freeway to watch the run. Couches, tables, lamps even a mariachi group. A community highlight to sat the least. We will definately return next year. The noon Fri. ferry over was a car show in itself. Bummer for the guys that stayed to watch the drags this morning (Sun.) 'cause I'm thinking it's raining over there right now.
