Wrap the blunt end of the bottle opener with the tape so as not to damage the molding. Put the opener on the top of the window molding from the inside to the outside and carefully work your way along.

drip rail molding can be popped off using a paint stick section and a small hammer. Use the paintstick to pop the underside off. Again working from the inside of the car toward the outside

Careful and Slow is the key

So what exactly is holding the window moulding in? Is it those metal spring clips?
Is it the same for front window and rear seat window on a two door hatchback? Is there a piece I should begin with or pick my choosing? Also what about the vertical strip behind the door opening that separates the front door window and the rear seat window?
Thanks

OK. On the door, the molding just snaps around the frame...no clips. Start with the rear side of the top piece.

On the quarter window the funny shaped piece is held on by 4 or 5 philips screws up in to the body. The vertical piece is held on by 2 clips. Once you get the funny piece out you can use your hands to pop the vert piece off but you may have to use the paintstick/hammer routine tapping towards the rear
