i have a 350 ZZ4 crate engine. its also used in marine applications. retrofit hydrollic roller, 1 piece main seal, steel crank, powdered metal rods and i believe casted flat top pistons. casted for mechanical fuel pump. came with crate heads, looks like typical casted heads but with a machine front back surfaces with no ID marks. has acc bolt holes. i was told maaaybe 100k on them. still can see crosshatching. looks good, rolls good.
i have just picked up a pair of edelbrock performer RPM heads, 60 cc, 2.02 stainless, dual springs, 1.6 roller rockers. no porting.

what kind of compressions might i be running?
casted heads are 64cc 1.94. and i beleive it was a 9.5:1 CR
will i burn up these casted pistons??

The ZZ4 has 58 c.c. combustion chambers, and they are an Excellant cylinder head.

If you install the Edelbrock heads, you will lose a minor amount of compression.
