Need some Help!..I'm putting my daughters 67' SS back together after it's been sitting for 17 yrs now.
My question is on the console shifter there is nothing to indicate what gear your in?He got the car from the original owner I got it from him,he converted it to a turboHydro from a power glide.I bought a replacement shift lens and detent for a TurboHydro but there wasn't a indicator with it to tell what gear your a actually in...any help will be appreciated!!
Thanks..Bugsy

What probably happened was you could not properly shift through the gears on the TH so the shifter plate was discarded or modified. On my 65' we tweaked the linkage and everything worked with the stock shifter and plate. Anyways, the console obviously has a shift indicator plate which can be seen in any of the parts catalogs. They make them for 2 - 4 speed auto trans. Everything you need to make it work is available aftermarket.
