i have a moroso alum water pump #63500 ,the seal is leaking a little.
has anyone replaced this seal , if so is there any special tools required .
the seal kit is #97450.
any tips would be appreciared.

Nothing special that I know of. 4 bolts, and two diamond shaped gaskets. Some gasket sealer? That's about it.
-Okay - smart guy Greg just realized you're talking about an internal seal. I have no idea.

If the seal kit is available form Moroso you will need a press to get it apart and some measuring tools(caliper) to set it back the way it was and press it back together.

i assume the kit is avaliable (#97450) for bout $25-$30
i would think instructions would be included, don't know.

Contact Moroso and see what they say--they were real helpful with me, sent me a couple seal kits for my ancient electric pump I ran for many years.

No I have not done it before but it should be pretty simple if you have access to the tools needed.

just talked to moroso tech: if i want to send it in they will install seal.
it takes a 10 ton press and heat ( yes , thats what he said!!)
didnt say how long before i would get it back.
sounds like installing 9"ford axle brgs! :horse:
