Behind the sail panels on my '69 there's that treated paper-like backing material, which I'd like to replace before I replace the headliner. I have a limited amount of Dynamat that I plan to save to use on the floors. Is there another material to use for behind the sail panels? Thanks.

I made new sail panels out of 1/8” thick plywood and they would be covered with the same vinyl material as the headliner. I don’t think I am putting anything else behind it. Maybe others have like you ask.

All I recall is the paper and that is probably just a moisture barrier like on the doors.

The paper is a little less than an 1/8" thick, and broke up when I took it out. So I think if I can't find a good replacement I'll go with the water shield and cut to fit. Thanks.
