When running a front plate, mid plate, and a solid trans mount, do I still need any links to keep the engine from moving rearward during launch?

Yes I would. Is this a stock chassis car, or a tube car? I know there is lots of arguments but I would consider a poly mount for the trans.

You definitely need something to keep the motor from moving rearward. I have a front motor plate with solid motor mounts. I used to have a solid trans mount and used to break trans cases. I switched to a poly trans mount and haven't cracked one since.
