It was a pretty big show tonight.

Live band, doorslammers, some manufacturers. I estimate about 600 cars (with probably at least 100 more hovering outside trying to get in).

In all those nice cars though I only saw three Novas. One 1st gen, zero 2nd gens, and two third gens.

Here was the 1st gen.

Always a great show. The weather was perfect.

I have really got to try and make this one some time this summer. Went two years ago at the other location and it brings out some really nice cars.

I've never been to Lombard yet but of all the cruise-ins I've been to this one flat-out rules. It's obvious why they claim it's ranked as one of the top ten cruise sites in the country. Always filled to the brim with nice classic cars minus some newer junk they always seem to let in. They always have some surprises too. This week they had the door-slammers. They all parked in a lot about a block away and had a police escort to the show. You could hear them coming a mile away.

If you don't get there early, you usually don't get in (with your car that is).

We ought to all meet there one of these Fridays around 5:00-5:30PM and start a much-needed Nova row.

I'm off work this Friday so I can pencil this in to the schedule. Weather permitting.

I hope I can be there this Friday. I'm off work all next week but plan to go to Tennessee to pick-up my '64 during that time. It's the last of my Novas I don't have up here yet. Hopefully I'll be back by then.

Where is this located? Is it a weekly/monthly cruise night? Sweet cars. I think that's the same Orange Chevelle w/ Alligator skin from the Dells this spring. Thanks
