before answering can we get a little more background on your existing components?

what heads, cam, intake, what's been done to the block components, what tranny, gears?... that kinda stuff... ;)

What heads? CC volume? Valve sizes? Head gasket thickness?
Any answer someone would give would be purely speculative without all the data. Sounds as if you have some decent stuff, but without knowing piston to valve clearance, and valve retainer to guide clearance, I'd be hesitant to just throw the 1.6 rockers on. If you're saying the cam is .540 lift the 1.6 rockers will increase that to .576, they'll change the duration also. If the cam is optimum now the 1.6 rockers could actually hurt your power output. I doubt you're going to notice the difference between the two anywhere but on a timeslip or a dyno sheet.
