Thought I would share a few pics. Pretty happy with how it came out. Formula was mixed in a spray bottle. 1/2 packet powdered Rit black dye, teaspoon of salt, capful of vinegar and couple drops of Dawn dishwashing soap. I used 2 bottles mixed like this to do both carpet sections. Sprayed in in, then spread with a brush and sponge. A day later it passes the white towel test no problem

I was never happy with the way RIT held up. But, this was back in the 80,s when I drove it every day including winter.
I just started using this

you can intermix colors, so far it is holding up great. It's been 8 months in a daily driver 89 GMC including a winter.

Dye DK

I just used DK black dye i thought the coverage wasn't the greatest my carpet was just faded by the sun ...it looks better but not what i expected.

WOULDN'T used this product again
