I am going to be repainting the dash in my 74 Black. Was wondering what everyone thought of going with a straight gloss paint or should I try to flatten it some how? My local parts store handles Nason paint so I would like to use that.

The trouble with the gloss black, is the glare on the windshield can be annoying, so semi or flat is the better choice.

It should be satin... even semi-gloss can give you that glare. Flat is ok, but gets dirty quick.

Sorry,

SEM paints are more through a distributor, than in an automotive store like Pep, Napa, etc.

Try the SEM website, and see if they sell them in your are, or you can check online.

But they are very good, expensive, but very good. You can tell as soon as you spray it. It smells different, and goes on real smooth and easy.
