I have to renew my plates next month. 2 years = $54.

Is that per year? Illinois I have the antique vehicle tags I renew every 3 years.

I have three cars were the plates will renew on April 22, April 30 and May 8. All three went up $15.00 each. The Nova was $82 last year. Next month it will be $97. Years ago it was $35. But I added the extra cost for personalized plates.($41.00). Since then it has been going up each year.

California stickers are good for one year only. The plates stay with the car.

Bought my 2nd 66 last November . Went to DMV got title put in my name ( car is a long way from drivable ) answer all their questions , paid the tax $25 .Now come March I get a letter saying " after review of your account " you owe $1500 tax ,$ 148 penalty & $8 interest less the $25 already paid

Bladeys - I'd question the DMV on that one. Thats BS and gotta be a error! Mine went from $71 to $103 on the 63 with personalized plate fee in there.

Hang on here comes the 'lets fix California 9.5% sales tax!'

Either no one really cares or they haven't look at their renewal tax in California, not alot of response to this thread, maybe after May. The last of March Cali sales tax also increases.:turn:
