Different car(71 Nova) same concept though. Only thing I had to do was enlarge the locating hole in the spring perch for the leaf spring centering pin. I had a 1/4" shank drill bit by 1/2" drill size.

I guess a person could clamp the springs together and unscrew that pin and grind it smaller if need be, but I just enlarged the locating hole which could be done with a small die grinder and carbide bit.

I am sure someone with a 2nd gen will chime in for you, but I say it should work like mine did.

Not normally, but might vary depending on the manufacturer. Some you need to trim the sides off of the pad.

on the 3 leaf multi's the plate will fit perfect to the housing without the use of the pads. if a traction control device is to be used (such as CalTracs) remove the pads anywho... Calvert Racing recommends their removal...
