All,

My car currently is fully tubbed, which includes a 3 link suspension and a narrowed 9" rearend. While this may excite some, the fully tubbed "drag" look isn't my cup of tea. I'm looking to go with a larger (longer) rear, 325/50 drag radials, and a more versatile suspension setup for the street/strip. What can you recommend? How do I go about sizing what length rear I need? I guess I would start from the rim/tire size and work backward.

Thanks for all your help.

Current setup:

As far as the rearend width goes I would get the tires and wheels you are going to use and measure the width for the reaend like this. Trust me, from experience, it is a good way to avoid sad errors.

Thanks. Is there an ideal backspacing to use on these cars? I don't need super huge brakes/discs in the rear.
