I would like to put disc brakes in the rear of my wagon, has anyone put a different rear end with disc brakes already on with hardly any modification involved? I could do the job either way, just wondering if there is a true fit that matches the chevy II nova.

Hi Guys

Jacob have you looked at ford explorer axles ? Ok so they are not a straight bolt in swap but are cheap to narrow as you only need to narrow one side and use another short shaft from a wrecking yard. The later ones come with disc brakes and lockers are also available.

A s10 blazer rear end with disc brakes would work. Also Camaro disc brakes bolt up pretty easily with a small adapter but you have to pull your axles.

I did this swap and it was cheap and relatively straight forward.

Look for brake kits that have the parking brake inside the brake rotor, they work better.

yes I agree with that. my Cadillac callipers with e brake are total trash
