Kinda sad to read about the inferior bolt issue. Even worse is the seeming lack of concern for customer safety on the part of CPP as evidenced by their blasé response. I'd heard good things about them and was mere seconds from ordering the subframe kit for my car when I decided to search here for some info. This isn't what I expected to find. Does anyone know if the issue has been remedied, or should I look elsewhere?

Thanks!
There is no issue with any bolts or balljoints that was so long ago its almost funny! Order your kit and you will be fine, we stand behind our product line 150%! Wow i haven't been on here in a while but i certainly recognize the same names over and over again when it comes to bashing! Holy Smokes, thank god i can ignore the nonsense and fix the legitimate issues on a one by one basis when and if they arise!

Hey Jeff I'm going to reach out to you in the near future if that's agreeable. I will not sit here and flame the company. But I have a Nova front end kit and disc brake setup and have some issues with some parts. The guys at the counter are nice to BS with when you have a day to spend in line but I'm really not interested in spending the afternoon up there and driving over an hour each direction to do it anymore. I enjoy the people that attended the CPP hosted cruise in March and I think many things that go on there are awesome. I just don't want everybody here to get a huge negative impression. I know you guys do tif best you can and that not all people get the help or the answers they were hoping for. I Iate many many years working retail and trust me I know. I don't want to make your job more difficult but also working with a corporation is much better having a go to guy. I'm that guy for many of my customers. I hope you can be the go to guy for the Nova community still as you have in the past.

I'm not sure I'd consider July of this year so long ago, but I suppose the point is moot if there wasn't really a problem to begin with. Glad to know any issues were isolated and that you stand behind your product. I just wanted to check on this before moving forward. Thanks for the replies!

I donno Jeff, if a laughable period of time is 5 months or so maybe 4, thats when I did my CBR kit with CCP upper balljoints and the bolts, (every one of them) stripped when torqued to spec. Ended up having to use the stock bolts, and was so pissed about the whole ordeal it put me through I wouldnt buy a free CPP air freshener if a nest of rats died under my seat in mid July in Phoenix. All due respect sir, this is just my only personal experience with CCP. I want parts that break when you hammer down, not torque down. I just dont see this level of quality with CPP.

Totally respect your opinion but what you are talking about was not even the issue. What you are describing is somethng i have yet to encounter. I appreciate your feedback, sorry for the way you feel, afterall CPP has done some remarkable things for the Nova, sorry you wont be using us.

this thread was starter over lowgrade bolts provided with your kits, not balljoints, i had to replace every bolt on my disc brake kit, and if im not the only person who has had issues with the provided bolts with your kits then APPARENTLY there is a issue

Well i certainly dont want to come on here and argue but i honestly am not aware of any low grade bolts, what i can tell you is if anyone has a low grade bolt iwould be more than happy to look into it for them and get them changed out. Makes no sense, so we make a kit the whole planet loves made in the USA and then use a low grade bolt, seems very odd....

If you read other post from other members you would see that im not the only person that has had problems with the provided bolts. Back during the summer when i had my problem i called you guys to inform of the broken bolt and was treated with no respect and was told to replace the bolts my self. Im not trying to bash anyone, only want to inform. Every thing in my cpp kit seemed like good parts MINUS the bolts, no issues since i replaced the bolts

The bolts provided just seemed cheap imo

I really have not been on here in quite a while and i appreciate all your feedback, i hate more than anything when i hear you called down here and someone was less than helpful! :( I personally was not aware of this issue but i am not saying it did not exist, what i will say is if you came down here for a shop tour i could show you 1000s of dollars in Grade 8 Hardware. I tell you what i am glad we got over that hurdle with the bolts and if you need anything in the future just ask for me i would like to make it right! Happy Holidays!

I find all this kinda funny, almost like it's staged. Since August not one word was said and now that we're into the buying season there's this.

I'll address the first quote. Some "problems were so long ago it's almost funny"???? I don't find safety issues, inferior products and/or incorrectly made parts freakin' funny! I consider it a hazzard and when there is money involved, that's fraud.

2nd quote: I too had a "disc brake setup" issue. My issue is now a well known issue where the spindles were made wrong! CPP after knowing this still sold this product at full price till the stock was depleted. I found this out about this problem prior to installation, contacted the company immediately and for about 3-1/2 years got absolutely nowhere until there was a sizeable blowout here on the SNS regarding CPP and their problems.

3rd quote: Jeff you only and finally responded to my brake issue 3-1/2 years later due to your back being against the wall on a public forum. 3-1/2 years later your responce was and started with an "LOL", "email me and I'll take good care of you on your next purchase". First off, laughing about a serious issue and then thinking that fixing it 3-1/2 years later with a discount on another purchase is just extreme arrogance on your part and shows the "true" colors of your company and their attitude towards their customers.

To those reading this.... I sold the "brand new" disc brake setup at Carlisle at almost a $300.00 loss. This was due in part to the many people out there that had heard about the problems associated with the kit. So being that the kit was no longer available after 3-1/2 years of it sitting around I could not have returned it, not that Jeff and/or CPP offered to take it back.

The lame offer 3-1/2 years later was refused because after dealing with and getting screwed twice by the company I would and never well put another CPP product on any of my vehicles ever again. Would you!!!

You can be as mad as you want, but re-read all the disclaimer materials. They are a large company and move a ton of product.
Any aftermarket parts distributor especially one who deals in life-safety equipment will have their disclaimers in order.
If there was an accident suspect to deficient hardware and you took the time and money to fight it through (depending on the State) you may get Satisfaction eventually.
Keep int mind; the American society of today with the "Law Suite" mentality and somebody owes me something will bring you to, be careful what you ask for you just may get it.
Product liability will eventually kill the ability to produce anything in the US, one day you will not be able to find legitimate properly Graded US hardware.
Next time you buy a step-ladder it is likely you will have enough room on the side rails to write your name due to all the warning stickers and liability statements. All of those stickers are going to look really nice on your frame-rails and control arms one day......
If you choose to modify your car in any respect of performance, suspension or braking; It's All On You.
With that said, Customer Service is king..... That is proven every day by people like Chuck Church.

He can say what he wants and at this point its the same old story that i have heard over and over and over again! HE DOES NOT LIKE CPP!! Got it! Now go work on your car and lets move forward! The new steering system is out and ready to go that's all i am pointing out at this point, if you need assistance then i will do my best to help but going over the same thing again and again to me is just wasting bandwith on this board. I wont reply to these types of negativity or waste other members times reading this nonsense. Thanks and Happy Holidays Pandora!

Jeff I think you are confused. It seems obvious that Pandoras Box can be made happy as he seems very happy with the service and product he recieved from Chuck Church? The point you are missing, or intentionally ignoring, is that CPP after recieving his money and sending him improperly engineered parts has been unwilling to do what would be necessary earn him back as a customer, or even make good on bad product.
