On the way back from picking up my car at the shop my gas pedal snapped out of the firewall and a bracket broke (the one that attaches the firewall). What i that little plastic piece called and is it model specific or something I can find at an auto parts shop?

Thanks!

Pedal rod support. Rock Auto has them if you can wait for shipping.
Dorman HELP parts may have em. In that case your auto parts store should be able to get one overnight

Alf,

Thanks I appreciate the quick answer, isn't the pedal rod support the bracket on the bottom? I'm looking for the name of the little grommet (?) or piece the throttle cable is attached to. I'm an idiot and guessing this is called an accelerator rod grommet isn't it?

I had that happen to me on the road--screwed a little hose clamp on the end of the cable, forgot about it until about 10 years later when I switched to a braided stainless style cable!
