I recently aquired a 1962 Chevy II 300 4 door sedan with 2.5L 153cu.in. 4 cyl. I was wanting to check it out completely (brakes, electrical, add tri-gauges, etc.) before taking it to any car shows or on weekend trips. I purchased several new parts just as a precaution and to ensure nothing would cause me problems on the road. (If its new it shouldn't break, right?)

I installed my new taillight sockets and bulbs, break/signal sockets and bulbs, and turn signal switch which all was ordered from a very reputable company. I started having weird electrical problems. The left turn signal worked but when I turned it off and pressed the brakes only the left would light. When I turned the right turn signal on then back off and hit the brakes neither would light. Finall after several hours of wiring troubleshooting I dug the old turn signal switch out of the garbage, reinstalled it and viola! Everything is now working as it should.

Anyone else ever had this issue? I hope this helps someone else.
