I think I might have messed up. I bought some D port headers and my heads are not D port. I read, on another site that it can still work if I get D port gaskets. Is this true?

D port heads usually have the exhaust port raised. Just make a paper template of your header ports noting the location of the bolt holes. lay the paper over your head, matching up the bolt holes, and see if it fits.

i think that depends on tube size...... i wouldnt worry about, headers are already an upgrade to cast manifolds. if the headers cover the whole port, just run'em. JMO....

As long as the exhaust ports are not covered, you will not restrict the motor. Make the template and you will know.

ok guys I recieved the headers in the mail yesterday and came with gaskets, so I put the gaskets up to the head ports and they cover them, its close at the top, but the bottom is fine. The bottoms overlap over the whole a little bit but not much. so am i okAY?
