I'm switching to power discs from manual drums with single chamber master. Currently my brake lines are 3/16" to the rear drums and 1/4" for the front circuit. The outlet for the rear brake line from the combo valve is 9/16" thread. Why so big? Can I get a fitting to go from 9/16" to attach to the old 3/16" rear line, which I guess would have a 3/8" fitting?
Here's a cutaway of the combo valve

I might have to go for an adapter for the rear line to the combo valve.

Most auto parts stores carry the fittings. I have gotten them from Autozone and ORailys and a small loco parts store.

What I did on the rear port was to go from 9/16 to 1/2 and then to 3/8 (two adaptors). Most connections are well hidden so I do not mine adaptors.
