I have a stock 2 speed air-cooled powerglide in my '63 that I would like to
get the passing gear to engage. Which way does the passing gear lever have
to move for it to work ? Would it be to the front of the tranny or the rear ?

:confused::confused:

you'll adjust the rod from the bellcrank to the transmission... driving the car casually the transmission should shift at 25-30 mph, harder acceleration will make it shift at a higher RPM.

make the rod slightly shorter and take it for a test drive... adjust accordingly to achieve the proper shift point.

Thanks for the reply, I really just want to know which direction the kickdown
lever should move on the tranny,forward or to the rear of trans.
