I have a 350 sbc in my 67 Nova. I have chrome valve covers with a PVC valve in the drivers side cover, hose connected to the large rear vacuum port on Holley 600 carb, no power booster connection involved. On the passenger-side cover, in the oil filler hole, I have a K&N type breather...large type.
Another car guy saw this setup and told me that by using the air breather in the oil fill hole and a PCV on the oppisite cover that I have created a BIG vacuume leak:eek:!! Is this true?? I thought if I used a closed oil filler cap and a PVC on the otherside, that the PCV would suck up more than just oil fumes into the carb. Am I causing a BIG vacuum leak with this set-up?? Thanks for any feedback!!:D

That wasn't a "car guy". You have a proper PCV system which is a controlled vacuum leak. That's how they work. Fresh air in one side, nasty fumes out the other side.
