I need some help here, I am thinking about plumbing up the heater core in my 66 chevy II so I can take advantage of a slightly longer cruising season, it wouldn't hurt tho have a bit more cooling system capacity too. Setup is a 350 SBC, 871 Weiand blower, and I have added a crossover on the rear of the manifold to take out any steam that seems to get caught there. I added a 3/16" hardline back to the inlet of the water pump, works great. What I am thinking about doing is remove the small bleeder line, swap the "Y" fitting to the pass side, and plumb the heater core, the return from the core will go to the inlet of the water pump. Can anybody think of why this would not work?
