For those of you that have shipped body side molding, and SS peak molding, for restoration, how did you pack it so it safely arrives at the restorer's business? Also, which company did you use for shipping?

PVC piping, no glue. just force/slip fit & tape ends. you can slide a 45° fitting over some trim then slide a straight length into each end of the fitting... if you get my meaning...

I used 1X1's to make a rectangular frame, then thin (1/4 inch) plywood on the front and back. For additional security, you can drill holes through the ply and hold the trim in place with zip ties. I used FedEx.

i use 4" pvc cut to length....bubble wrap the small ones...plywood the ends...use fedex...not usps

I agree with the pvc packing method. For the grill i have cut boxes to fit stuffed and wrapped with newspaper and bubble wrap.
Imo if that does.t work for you i would call the resto man and see how he packs pieces. Im sure he can give ya some great insite.
