I have a 64 with a 355 170* thermostat electric fan car runs right at 170* at idle and at 3000 rpm or below. Anything over 3000 rpm temp climbs to 195 - 200. Once you slow down temp goes back to 170. Any suggestions. Timing set at 34* just rejetted carb made it 8% richer at cruise 12% richer at wot. Has aluminum rad and i use straight engine ice as coolant. Thanks, jeff

Doesn't sound like much of an issue to me. I would run a hotter (180*) stat, maybe a high flow, but as it is, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

195-200 is not that much of a problem....its when you run it at 230*+ for extended periods is when it becomes a problem.bm
