Hey fellas, My father's 1995 Crown Vic lasts about 3 days then goes dead. Key does nothing, no lights, nothing. Starts right up with a jump and everything electrical works, but only lasts a few days. AAA came out yesterday when my Mom broke down and tested battery and it tests fine, and is fairly new. My first thought was the alternator but figured since the battery is ok, the alternator may be doing its job. Not really sure. Other than that, maybe a drain somewhere. Visual inspection looks ok. Any hints as to what could cause this would be appreciated. I am going to take the alternator to be tested just for fun. Thanks.

Try removing the battery cable at night. If the battery stays good, there is definitely a drain.

You can pull the fuses, one-by-one, with the battery plugged up, and look for a spark. If you see a spark, then that circuit is pulling juice.

New radios always pull some juice, but shouldn't drain a battery. A trunk or hood light is a good suspect to check
