original 69 Nova bucket seats

I am trying to duplicate a set of original 69 Nova bucket seats. Can anyone tell me what other cars used the exact same seats? Maybe with a different seat cover/ design and/or different seat tracks. Does anyone have some pictures of original buckets in a 69.
We are restoring a 69 Nova that had bucket seats and a 4 speed. Seats are long gone. Would like to make up a set, original as possible. Any Ideas?

Except covers and foam, all of them are the same for 69-72 on Nova, Chevelle, GTO, LeMans, Buick, Monte Carlo, and I think I'm missing one or two.

Hardest part is going to be finding the correct seat tracks.

I have a set of 72 Nova buckets with tracks.
If I purchase the correct foam and covers to redo them will they be the same as they would have come from the factory? Which company sells the best quality(fit & finish, etc)?
Does anyone have a picture of true 69 Nova bucket seats in their original Nova?
The 72 Nova buckets have a molded in head rest as a part of the foam and cover. Did the 69 Nova have this also or were they like the 69 Camaro where the head rest is seperate?

72 Nova's are a high back seat with headrest molded in. 1969 seats headrest are seperate. 69 thru 72 chevelle seats will work. Not 72 Nova. These are the style of seats you want for the 69.

If I were to find a set like those, could I use the 72 Nova seat tracks to fit them to our 69?

My buddy fabbed a set from bench seat tracks for his 71 car.

I am not sure if the 72 tracks would just bolt onto 69 seats. They might. I do not have any 72 seat tracks to compare. I have the 68-69 seat tracks and have compared them to many other seat tracks and cannot find any similiar in length and height. You would basically have to measure the mounting locations on the seat frame itself and also see the depth of the mounting location on the seat. I dont think there is much difference from the 69 to the 72 nova lower portion seat frame.

The seats are some what common, and the last set of tracks I heard of for sale were somewhere around $4-500

the last time i saw 69 nova seats complete with tracks for sale was on ebay any they sold for $1,200........

ok, The measurements are as follows: Outside track is 2 1/2 inches tall from floor mount tab to top of track which mounts to seat. The Inside track is 3 3/8 tall. The mount locations to the floor are: Inside track is 14 1/2 and 14 1/8 on the Outside track. These measurments are center to center of hole. The tracks have one mount hole in front and 2 on the rear of each track. Will try to draw a diagram to better describe.

This is just a heads up for you guys looking for seat tracks for 68-71 bucket seats. These brackets in this auction are not for bucket seats. They are 2 sets of bench seat brackets. Bucket seat brackets for a 68 do not have locks on the inner rails. Only on the outers and the brackets are not of the same height. Also Knob to adjust handle for tracks in auction are not correct for bucket seats. Just bench. Its in the wrong position.

Thanks for the heads up.

I have been searching for a good set of 69 nova bucket seats and tracks to recover for a fair price, which I realize will be pricey. So far no luck.
At this piont I would even give a descent buck for a set done. All I am waiting on now is the seats and she will be ready for the cruise nights and shows this season.

Oh well, back to the search. This is suppose to be part of the fun

hey, is it true that if you take a nova bucket seat complete with tracks a put it on a flat level floor, it will lean to the side? and is it true that only nova will do this lean? or will chevelle lean to the side to? thanks

Chevelle will sit level,Nova will be tilted .Novas have the funkiest floor arrangement out of any GM car .Last set of 70 buckets I had sold for $810 .
