In Canada I think the only one offered in 67 was a 275 horse 327. I really like them, great setup.

As far as upgrades, I wouldn't change a thing if it was mine, but many on here will have advice for you I'm sure:D

The first motor i had in my car was a 327 and i loved that little motor, i actually have plans of pulling my 406 and putting it back in the car! as for mods i put a set of 2.05/1.60 valve camel humps, an rpm air-gap man., 5.18/5.36 lift cam, and a 700 holley double pumper on it and it went 12.67 in the 1/4

It sounds like a crane cams solid to me....thats a pretty big cam for a 327....I'm sure it ran like a stuck pig at the top end.....

IF i'm right...the specs are .518/.536lift with a duration @.050" .244/.252

I have the same cam wrapped in bubble wrap in the one drawer of my tool box..:)

My first 67 Nova had a 327 and when we rebuilt it for the drags (1973) we put the first gen angle plug heads on,an Tarantula intake, 800DP holley, and a General Kinetics cam;.518 / .531 , 300 / 310 solid. With 5.14 gears and slicks it went 11.30's @118mph.
What a fun ride,,,seems like yesterday.:D
Must be a popular lift and duration combination.

327's Rock

First off.......... most here on the board will tell you, more bang for the buck if you go with a crate 350 or rebuilt a 350 !!!!!! What year is your Nova?? I decided to go with the 327 because I was doing a Cloner 66 Chevy II L79 theme!! I located a ZI block (one of app 180 shipped into Canada !!) But that's it !! A .040 bore, Dart Iron Eagle heads, SRP pistons, Comp cam & roller rockers, balanced, "490" intake and 3367 Holly carb!! Thru Dougs 2&1/2 inch headers and I'm thinking somewhere around 400hp! It all depends what you want to accomplish and for what?? My engine costs were a little more than what I expected, as I didn't assemble this one, I had it built !!

Hope this helps?? Bogie
