Is there any other way besides scraping all the glue and old insulation off the metal? I've been using a putty knife and file to file and scrape through the insulation. It's Taking forever.
Iv hurd dry ice and a hammer the dry ice is sposed to make everything shrink and verry cold i was told it kind of shatters when hit dont know how true it is
I have used a heat gun and a good scraper. It is still a gooey mess and takes some elbow grease. After the fact I thought about trying some industrial glue/adhesive remover.
The padding looks to be home carpet pad. Whoever put it in might have used a landau top glue too.
There probably isn't going to be an easy way to get the old stuff off but I might suggest a wire wheel in a drill ?. Stuff is going to fly doing it this way but it might be quicker than scraping.
