i am hooking up a oil pressure gauge in my 1970 chevy nova 350 small block. Is there a difference where i plug it in? In the back of the motor near the distributor or near the oil filter? I heard that if you but in in the back of the block the reading will be low because its for the senor to read oil temp not pressure. Im not sure if its true.
thank you

ive always hooked mine up near the distributor, there is no difference in where you hook it up, oil pressure is oil pressure, it will give give you the correct reading regardless in either location, plus its easier next to the distributor, all you want in a oil pressure gauge is to tell you that you have good oil pressure and if a problem occurs then it will let you know that oil pressure has went down.....hope this answers your question
