After pulling my new 383 back out to fix the oil galley plug leak (builder used no sealant on the plugs ) I finally got the motor back in and started up. After it started I noticed a slight "knocking" sound coming from the bottom of the motor. Turns out one of the rod bolts is hitting the bottom of the oil pan... I clearanced the pan rails but didn't even think about the bottom :(. To make things worse, I have a lakewood scattersheild and I'm not sure I can even get the pan off without taking the motor back out a second time. Has anybody had luck taking the oil pan off with a manual transmission? I REALLY don't want to take this thing back out again
