I need help finding the right oil pan for my '66. I have a ZZ383 sbc crate stroker motor. I would really like a billet looking one, but mainly I want one that works. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
ck with kevco pans they sell on ebay. Also try a search for crate motor oil pans
I know somebody on here made an oil pan out of a stock chevyII pan and the crate motor pan. Maybe moroso and milodon have pans for crate motors now?
I'm using one of the Ebay cheapie pans with the big "C" notch in it on my 408.It's 8 1/4" deep w/kickouts to get you 6 QT and a baffle.Quality is pretty good, cleared the 400 crank, steering linkage and rides about a 1/2" higher than my scattershield.I think it came from KMJ Ent but there were a few companies selling the same pan in black, gold or raw steel. It was about 60 bucks last year and has been fine so far.
I have one that will fit a 3 generation small block. What year is your motor? I can send you pictures, its a Mildon. I had it on a 305 motor and replaced the motor before the 305 ever started. I have the oil pump and pick up as well
