Hi guys as soon as the car gets 70C degrees not Fahrenheit. On idle the oil light starts flickering and then it is on all the time. But when I increas the rpm the light goes off. Is it a faulty sending unit?

The best thing to do is to put an oil pressure gauge in your car.
What type of oil do you use?

20-40 should be plenty viscous for a small block Chevy with reasonable bearing clearances and a good oil pump. Again, I would install an oil pressure gauge before I spent much money in another area. The light is only meant to indicate a critical condition, and the gauge will show you the pressure under all conditions.

What Mike said. Put a simple mechanical gauge on it and see what the pressure really is at idle. Your pump could be getting weak or the idiot light could be going bad. If you have 20 or more lbs at idle you are fine.

The idle rpm will vary from motor to motor, but usually between 750-1000 rpm.
