I have a small oil leak (a few drops after the car sits overnight), and am certain it is coming from the drain plug. I have been using a nylon washer and replaced it with a new one when I changed the oil a couple of months ago. I will be changing oil again soon and am looking for a something that will fix this annoying leak. What have you had the best success with?

I have good luck with copper washers. You may want to be sure the oil pan surface is flat with no burs or not allowing the plug to seat itself correctly.

You could even try some teflon tape on the plug.
Never use teflon tape on any oil or fuel thread.

All it takes is for a small piece to come off (and it will), get into the fluid and end up in the pump and/or system and you'll have much bigger problems than just a little leak.

gm dealers have nice copper washers with a rubber center. they work great.
^ ^ ^ This is what you want. ^ ^ ^

I use the nylon washers but these really are the best.

If it doesn't stop leaking with a new washer, it's possible that the pan has a small crack in that area. Happened to my brother in law. He put a new pan on it. Just sayin. Dave
