I have an odd problem with my 1965 Chevy II. It has a letter 5 infront of the devision tag (Chevrolet being 1) the car is one of the first 3000 produced as a 1965. the actual vin tag is (5)11369002075 the 5 in brackets is what doesn't make sense because the rest reads correct to what the car is. I was wondering weather anyone new if it was a mistake or if a production error with that year please responed i can't find it on google. Thanks for reading

All is well with your car:). It was built in Canada, so the VIN sequence is somewhat different than those on U.S. cars. Most of the VIN decoders are for American cars, including Novaresource.org. Here's the breakdown on your VIN:

5 - 1965
1 - Chevrolet
13 - Chevy II 100 Series - six cylinder
69 - 4 door sedan
O - Oshawa, Ontario (build plant)
02075 - build sequence number (2075th built in 1965)

Hope this helps.
