I'm taking the front fenders off my '67. I never dreamed it would be such a pain! On the top bolt that goes into the firewall the nut spins. There is a hole beside the bolt just big enough to see the nut underneath and touch it with one finger. What is a good way to get a hold on this rascal?

wd40 and a flat head screwdriver is what worked for me. bigger pain than i thought too but it worked. get a big screwdriver :yes:

try a nut splitter. Or grab the gas axe ( acetylene torch )

If you have a few thread sticking out don't have torch or nut splitter. Get a reciprocating saw with a steel blade and cut away....

drill the bolt head off and then get ready to weld a new nut in.

sometimes you can grind the bolt head off too.
Have you tried to remove the bolt on the bottom behind the fender yet? Those are usually the worst.
