Guys
I hope you can give me an answer. I have a chance to get a newer style SBC short block, 1994, (350) 4 bolt, with the one piece rear main seal. My main question is could I use my heads off of my old style block, two piece rear main seal block. The heads are Edelbrock RPM part # 60899. I already have the RPM air gap manifold with the heads. Also can I use the water Edlebrock aluinum water pump from my old block as well. It needs a rebuild, but has the oil pan, timing chain cover with it and has the stock roller cam with lifters. Are there any disadvantages to this set up. Or am I just spinning my wheels. Oh Ya, only $150 for the short block.

The Gen 1 heads fit on all SBC blocks except the modern LS and reverse flow LT1

Hey Paul

Just noticed the "back home" location.

Havent been on much lately so sorry if I missed your return, but it's good to see you home and safe. I have a close friend there tl the end of the year...he's in the thick of it, Ranger, Airborne, SF type....built the two rifles he's now using over there for sniping work.
