Welcome! That's a very long term commitment you've had with the car, it's always nice to be such a big part of the car's history.

thanks for the welcome, I have been on this site more times than I can count getting information from all of you, I figured since I was getting back on my project there was not time like the present to join up.......also the fact that when I was originally working on this car, the internet wasnt even around .
I am going to be asking some questions on this 468 motor to get it setup correctly for this car. I have always been a small block guy so this is new territory for me.
And I have to take care of some 18yo storage issues with the body and underside. Stored inside thankfully but still took its toll on it for sure.

and the motor loved me for it

Too bad for me though, I used a loaner HEI with a new cap/rotor just to get it up and running, and on the first test drive it left me like this The contact ripped off the new rotor

My wife and I did the engine rebuild with the help of my brother, but she was really enjoying the resurrection. She really did a knock out job on the painting on the motor and swapping some parts out. I also put her in charge of the 12bolt cleanup and painting since she helped out and bought me the new springs for my birthday.

And it seems that your wife is quite good with axle restorations, it looks beautiful! I wish I could get my wife to be more involved with this stuff, her limit has been to learn the basics of carb disassembly, but only because I forced her too.
