Hi, there, Guys and Gals:

I am Mark, aka: "mr5by5"

Have been the owner of a '67 Nova Multi-door Sedan since 1986!

I drive her as often as possible, weather and fuel prices permitting - with over 108K on her old "BlueBelle" runs and drives mighty good. I posted a link to some of the pictures of the old girl in the "4-Door Haven" here are her "Vital Satistics":
  • Second Owner with Original FL Title, Warrantee Plate, etc.
  • Original 2bbl 283/PG - Engine Rebuilt (.060-over) @ 68k, 'Glide still works great!
  • PS/PB, Dealer-insatlled A/C (I have the receipt!)
  • Edlebrock Performer Int. & 600CFM Carb
  • Accel Blueprint Dist., Pertronix Module, Autolite Wires
  • New Springs / Gabriel Shocks all around (5-leaf rears)
  • Custom dual exhaust w/ Turbo mufflers & stainless tips
  • Original carpet/upholstery/headliner
  • Custom Autosound AM-FM/Cassette, in dash Speakers
  • Wheel Vintiques Chrome Rallyes w/ '56 Chevy Centers
  • K&N Stainless Steel 10-inch breather
  • M/T Black Finned Valve Covers
  • Original Color: Marina Blue
  • Current Paint: "Blue Suede" Kondar Primer
  • Future Plans: Scat/Pro-car low-back buckets and DRIVE 'ER

West of The Genesee

My hometown is west of Rochester - I was stationed at Hancock Field AFS in North Syracuse in the service and drove up-and-down I-81 past Central Square a lot of times.

Now all you guys are being too nice when you say old Bluebelle "looks nice" - she is pretty solid but far from pretty inside or out. As one of you said "she likes the pavement" - that's what she was built for! Poor thing has set out in a snowbank all winter every year for the last 23!

The engine is original Nova 283 (matching numbers! 40K on +0.060 rebuild) - just put on the Goodwrench valve covers when I put on the Edelbrock intake cause I needed somewhere to pour oil in!

And, yeah, the "seat covers" are real "special" (souveneir Florida beach towels!).

Thanks for all the notes - I have enjoyed Steve's Nova Site so far, will try to add to the "chatter"!

Welcome from Wyoming. Where about are you from? I have a friend that's originally from Central Square. Nice lookin' ride as well.
