Tried changing my quarter windows today and cant get the window guides off the old glass, someone suggested to use a heat gun to soften the glue, but i dont have one, so i tried a propane torch and still nothing, any chemicals i can try, or should i use more heat on them, i dont care about the old glass because someone else sandblasted the tops of them years ago and im just going to junk them anyway. but i need the guides the new windows dont have them. I will be greatful for any proven tips you can give. Thanks!

wood does not work, tried a screw driver and brass hammer on the ends and they peeled off with no damage.
